Light orange pour. White head. Nice saison with a really good juicy hop/citrusy backbone. The wheat is beautiful. Perfect funk and tartness.

Cloudy orange juice body. Creamy white head. Superbly yeasty. Just right pepperyness. Great lemon. Soft creamy wheat. Downed after a nice warm AZ spring afternoon. Super enjoyable.

The beer arrives from the tap with a thin, off-white colored head that tops a lightly hazed, pale amber colored beer. After the previous two beers, I can’t smell anything too prominently in this beer. As I dig in it begins to open up a bit and has a slight peppery note, maybe a soft lemon zest like note, as well as an earthy spiciness that has overtones of coriander (but not in a dirty way). A bit of fruitiness becomes more noticeable as the beer warms up; the fruit character is sort of nondescript, but perhaps leans a bit towards melon or pear, but mostly the hint of lemon-zest is what is noticeable here.

The beer is light bodied, but has a touch of viscosity to it. There is an earthy, lingering spiciness to this beer that is a mix of dried straw, subtle coriander, and a touch of phenolic spice character that is a bit musty, but not really clove like. Up front this has a woody peppery note that deeply flavors the beer, but without any real spiciness. A hint of lemon-zest like notes is noticeable in the middle finish here, and is actually a bit more noticeable if you let this beer sit on the tongue for a bit.

This is actually a good Saison; I am always a bit skeptical when I encounter these out in the wild, especially "flavored" versions, but the added flavorings are subtle enough that they integrate well with the fermentation character; In fact the base yeast is perhaps a little bland to stand on its own, and the extras really provide a boosted complexity that would otherwise be missing here. As usual, I would love to get a bottle conditioned version of this beer.

Guest tap @ OHSO. Light honey pour with a small ivory cap that left an intricate web of lacing in the glass. Loads of peppercorn spice and heat. Nearly sneezed putting my nose to the glass, but it works. Biscuit, yeast, grassy, earthy, and with a citrus backbone. Aggressive but in a good way...love that they aren’t playing it safe with this...delicious!

Growler courtesy of Ibrew2or3 via shrubber85. Sassafras hops, light funky Belgian yeast aroma. Hazy light amber with a small off-white head. Earthy rooty hops, light funky yeasty bready malt, and light citrus flavor. Nice balance. Body on the light side of medium,. moderate carbonation.

Poured up at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear pure copper body that supports a white head that leaves behind sheet lacing. The aroma offers up spicy Saison yeast and muted peppercorn spiciness as well as some sweetness and a hit of citrus. The taste starts with a mix of smooth muted integrated peppercorns and spicy Saison yeasty notes. It maintains these notes and the peppercorn and hops seem to cut down any sweetness that tries to well up midway and into the finish. I also get a mild white wine Nelson like hoppiness as the taste experience comes to an end. This is an American made Saison I can see drinking over and over again as it stays crisp and fresh. Solid.

Growler (courtesy of Ibrew2or3). Grass, sarsaparilla, yeast, and orange peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet orange, root beer/sarsaparilla and mildly bitter grass/citrus peel flavor. Nice balance and moderate carbonation. Definitely not a typical saison but delicious nonetheless.

Happy hour pint. Clear good color with a thin white head and a touch off lagging. Aroma is sweet malt and citrus. Flavor is a mix of citrus with a hint of tartness. It finishes with a hint of lager-esque bitterness. Nice.
