Probably one of the worst saisons I’ve had in a long time. Golden color, very little head and almost zero carbonation. Some grassy hoppy notes and a bit of coriander. Body was thick, not light or easy drinking like a saison should be,

Pailhead (4572) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - NOV 5, 2013
On tap: The aroma consists of citrus, light grapefruit, melon, a hint of lemon peel, and a hint of pepper. It’s a transparent golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with citrus and a hint of melon. The finish has light grapefruit, lemon peel, and a hint of pepper. Overall, a very refreshing Saison.

Poured up on tap at Wilderness where it has a nice looking semi opaque deep gold colored body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up sweet fruity red apples and a bit of peach mixed with muted apricot amid soft modest Saison like yeasty spices. The taste delivers fresh notes of Saison yeasty spices with apple to dry apricot fruit notes and then quickly getting into brighter and somewhat punchy notes such as a bit of citrus tartness to midway. It smooths out as the finish approaches where a bit of maltiness and malt graininess are noticed and they help tie this together. Pretty nice American Saison but a little too heavy and sweet compared to some Belgian Saisons I’ve enjoyed.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy light orange with a big, fluffy head. Aroma of orange zest and earthy, damp alfalfa. Taste of heavy grapefruit, slightly bitter hops, light bready yeast, some spices (perhaps coriander?), and the faintest touch of sea salt. Very dry and clean finish; light tart mouthfeel. A nice Saison; very refreshing.

Great traditional style. Hazy pour, pale orange color with minimal lacing. Damp hay and citrus on the nose. Flavors of lemon and orange rind, yeast, wheat.

Excellent traditional tasting saison. Crisp, light, fairly dry. You can definitely taste a slight saltiness that makes this brew so unique. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
