Sampled at the Festival with James, pours golden with 2 finger white head. Notes are classical saison with some yeast, pepper, fruit, and light shampoo. Mouthfeel lost some points for being way too viscous for the style.

on draft at brewery, plain yeasty and thick. A standard base saison, a lot like cigar cities. I wish it was a little lighter and more drinkable, either way, not offensive at all.

A hazed golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with orange pulp, loads of honey, cantaloupe, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with honeydew, clover honey, fruity esters, light grassy hops, light and refreshing. On tap at brewery.

Fruity pineapple smell. Light hop taste, very mild soap, and a grassy soapy aftertaste. Light mouthfilling foam.

Golden pour with small creamy white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, slightly floral and hops. Taste of slight citrus, wheat, grassy hops, slight spices and a fairly dry finish. Light bodied, higher carbonation, a little disappointing.

Cloudy bright orange. Good sized creamy white head. Bigger light body. A little chewy wheat. Some alcohol. Moderate bitterness. Fairly dry. Grassy. Fruity. Citrus. Mango. Mild to moderate spiciness. Earth. Herbal. Enjoyable American style saison.

Probably one of the worst saisons Iíve had in a long time. Golden color, very little head and almost zero carbonation. Some grassy hoppy notes and a bit of coriander. Body was thick, not light or easy drinking like a saison should be,

Pailhead (6015) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - NOV 5, 2013
On tap: The aroma consists of citrus, light grapefruit, melon, a hint of lemon peel, and a hint of pepper. Itís a transparent golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with citrus and a hint of melon. The finish has light grapefruit, lemon peel, and a hint of pepper. Overall, a very refreshing Saison.

Poured up on tap at Wilderness where it has a nice looking semi opaque deep gold colored body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up sweet fruity red apples and a bit of peach mixed with muted apricot amid soft modest Saison like yeasty spices. The taste delivers fresh notes of Saison yeasty spices with apple to dry apricot fruit notes and then quickly getting into brighter and somewhat punchy notes such as a bit of citrus tartness to midway. It smooths out as the finish approaches where a bit of maltiness and malt graininess are noticed and they help tie this together. Pretty nice American Saison but a little too heavy and sweet compared to some Belgian Saisons Iíve enjoyed.
