COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Santa Teresa Belgian Enkel is on tap now. The monks too enjoy a fine ale with a meal. This 5.2% abv ale uses noble hops and a yeast strain from the Trappist monestary, Westmalle.

On draft at the source. Golden body with a thick, white head. Floral aroma, Belgian yeast. Bready with a subtle spice character. Light in body with big flavor. A solid homage to the Trappist monks at Westmalle.

Tap. The look is golden in color, lacing white head, and clear. The smell is noble hops, malty, bready, dough, and fir. The taste is dough, sweet, noble hops, dry, ok.

Draft. Hazy dark orange amber. Excellent frothy creamy lasting white head. Lighter bodied. Dry. Biscuit. Earthy. Some trappist yeast. Touch of fruitiness and sweetness. Smooth and drinkable. Still lots of flavor. Very nice.

Draft - Golden malts and yeast. Clear gold with a thin white head. Banana and cloves with a touch of grassy hops. The esters and sweetness are held in check. Well crafted.

Draft sample. Clear copper color with a khaki head of tiny bubbles. Aroma of fruit and caramel with a hint of yeast. Flavor is almost delicate with some spice, hint of sugar and faint banana like esters. Pretty complex for a single and true to form.

Poured up on tap at Wilderness where it has a crystal clear copper body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, some prune like notes and then spicy to floral hops. The taste is sweet with caramel malts, sweet prune to fig like fruitiness and then it evens out into a modest hoppiness that creates a bit of a spicy to slightly lime like sensation. It gets malty and bready into the finish.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2014 A bright gold color with a white head. Aroma is sweet and yeasty with a nice fruity note. Sweet touches of candy sugar, yeast, fruity esters. Really a well constructed brew from the guys at AZW.

On tap in a tulip at the brewery. Sweet candi sugar nose with plums, figs, and caramel (like many Dubbels). Pours a clear golden copper with a one-finger head. Sweet forward on the taste with crystallized sugar, plum, golden raisin, caramel, light toasted grain, and an unexpected dry oak taste with a slightly dry woody finish. Intriguing.
