2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Average beer. Slight malty and yeasty nose. Pretty dark copper color. Medium weight palate with a wine feel to it. Flavor was slightly sweet and alcoholic malt. Main issue was that the Belgian character did not stand out. Overall, just OK.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler thanks to Josh! Pours a clear orangish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy grain and a bit of sweetness that is backed by some earthy fruits. Flavor has lots of earthy sweet grain with a bit of bread and a yeast note.

Vibrant orange pour with average white head. Aroma of citrus and very mild spice. Flavor is super smooth, citrus driven and slightly lemony. Very awesome.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Draft at brewpub. Pours clear golden amber. Small white head, minimally lasting. Fruity, yeasty, banana, clove, bubblegum. Nicely hidden alcohol. Thankfully not sticky or syrupy. Fairly sweet, moderate bitterness. Good balance. Not overpowering. Very nice. Iím convinced...

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at the brewery. A - pours a golden orange with a light finger if off white head. Virtually no lacing. S - good spicy Belgium yeast. Pepper, cloves, bubble gum, white wine grapes, banana esters, pear, honey dew melon, buttered popcorn, dry cleaning chemicals and the pilsner malts all show well. Some musty farmhouse also persists in the back of the nose. M - medium oily bash with a sugary medium to heavy palate. Good carbonation. T - Belgium yeast, bubble gum, and pilsner malts are up front. Fruity esters follow. Banana, pear and melon all show in the middle with a resurgence of the malts. Honey and rose hips too. Ending is pepper and cloves with fruits lingering. some alcohol in the end with zinc accents. Not a tripel person but this was very enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured up at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up a nice load of a fruity ester like mix of apples, pears and apricots and then it hits a touch of grainy malts as some fruity Belgian candi sugar and yeasty spices come to the surface. Cool. The taste begins with a mild yet inviting grainy maltiness before the thick honey covered sweet ripe green apples, sweet Belgian candi sugar and bit of ripe apricot join in the fun. To midway sweetness smoothed out yeasty Belgian spices come to the surface adding interest against the thicker sweet notes. Nice and easy drinking for the style with everything lined up with a pleasing degree of balance.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap in a snifter at the brewery. Fruity nose of soft pear, a touch of mango, and a heavy dose of pilsner malt. Pours a hazy light orange with a moderate white head. Damn tasty, with light banana esters, green apple, bready malts, a light white grape note and oakiness, and a slight bitterness to finish. Iím normally not a big fan of tripels, but this one is delicious.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a clear gold color with a white head. Loads of wonderfully fruity aromas and flavors live in this one! Pears, banana, yeast, tinges of oranges. Sweet up front with a very light and welcomed bitterness. So damn good.
