Cask (handpump) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.

Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, toffee, butter - butterscotch, chlorine - vomit notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110427]

Cask (handpump) at Reading Beer Festival on 27 April 2011. Amber colour. Scant head. Fruity malt aroma with some spicy edges. Slightly tart, fruity flavour with a subtle, tangy, vaguely peppery hop presence. Smooth mouthfeel with a little bitterness in the aftertaste. A pleasant, easy-drinking strongish bitter but a bigger hop presence wouldn’t have gone amiss. And a rather more lively condition.
