Headless raspberry red 2 pint takeout from The Merchant, Rugby. A sniff of sticky caramel. Buttery, shortbready malt richness with an abruptly bitter finish. A nibble of hazelnut. Very lengthy biscuity afters. Drinks with the rounded sweet maltiness/bitter hop balance of a full-flavoured Alt. Not bad at all.

Bright golden brown body under a thin layer. Pleasant aroma of biscuit malts. Light spicy hops in flavour with a vague caramel malty support and some notes of berries. Dry bitter end (gravicask at Reading BF, sampled with Finn, 02.05.2008).

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Copper. Toffeish bitter with pleasant earthy hops and berryish sweetness. Not bad if a bit on the sweet side.
