Tap @ Thirsty Monk South - pours amber, white head. Very disjointed. When itís cold Iím getting boiled peanuts. Once itís warm, Iím getting a dry sweetness that I wouldnít call jellylike, but itís present. It would be nice if it tasted like jelly and peanuts. Not really getting and butteriness, perhaps a brown ale isnít the right vehicle for this flavor profile. Overall, meh.

Draft at Thirsty Monk South. Pours golden with a thin white head. Nice peanut notes on the nose. Lots of peanuts on the tongue. I canít say I get much jelly or brown ale influence except for a slight jelly slipperiness on the mouthfeell. Not bad.

On tap at Barley's Taproom in Asheville. Pours amber-brown into the glass, with a wispy white head that leaves soapy lacing. The nose is of legumes and herbs. Flavors definitely start with boiled peanuts and legumes, some herbs and finish with a lemony citrus. The medium body and active mouthfeel make a drinkable offering, as well as a definitive attempt at being a PB&J brew. Very interesting indeed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Its Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Anyway, Itís brown, very murky - not a particularly pretty beer. Smells like, Well, peanut butter and jelly. Taste is peanut, some fruity sweetness, - Iím just going to go ahead and say grape jelly because that fits the narrative - and hazelnut. Not bad for a gimmick beer. I would drink again.

Pours a clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma has light peanut butter and mild toasty malts. Flavor is nutty/peanut buttery with a bit of a salty note (peanut salty)...very peanutty/peanut buttery!...light fruity and bready maltiness...a touch of earthy hops. Mouthfeel is medium and silky and the finish is grainy/malty with lingering faint PB. Really cool...reminiscent of a PB sandwich. Really tasty!

Poured light brown to red. Nose is peanut and toast all over with some malt sweetness. Tasted of sweet malts, evident peanuts, salt and even a touch of grape jelly. Very authentic which is why I didnít order a whole pint.

Poured dark brown with red hues. Smelled of roasted peanuts. Tasted like a peanut butter and raspberry jelly sandwich. If the bar had PB&J on the menu, I wouldíve ordered one. Great specialty brew
