COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Peanut Butter Jelly Time Ale Think back to simpler times - when your mom sent you off to school with a PB&J sandwich, and by noon the flavors had all melded into pure comfort food. Well, we recreated that goodness in a beer! This light brown ale is brewed from five different grains, then aged for weeks on raspberries and roasted peanuts. Take a sip, let flavors mingle on your palate, and enjoy our PB&J in a glass.

Draft during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Novel beer - definitely evocative of a raspberry PB&J, actually. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with wholegrain bread, raspberry jam. Good stuff.

Pours a murky orange-amber color with a thin and fluffy white head that diminishes gradually to a wispy film. Sticky small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted nuts, malt and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of peanut butter, roast malt and mildly tart berries. The finish is roasty with a nutty and malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

23 October 2015, bottle. Pinkish Amber and faintly cloudy. Nose is peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Heavy on the strawberry jaw, can even smell the toast. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Peanut butter and jelly are more muted and malt comes out more in taste. Interesting.

Slightly hazed amber pour with no head. Aroma is peanut butter deluxe. Flavor is as the name implies. Just like pbj sandwich. Medium body with good carbonation. ok but not a real drinker

On tap at Bearden Beer Market. cloudy, murky orange, with no head. Smells, well, like a raspberry jam and peanut butter sandwich. Taste is more of the same, maybe a little more raspberry than I wouldíve liked. almost flat, too, which I suppose was inevitable. Fun to drink, but I donít know that I need a lot of this...

Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Anyway, Itís brown, very murky - not a particularly pretty beer. Smells like, Well, peanut butter and jelly. Taste is peanut, some fruity sweetness, - Iím just going to go ahead and say grape jelly because that fits the narrative - and hazelnut. Not bad for a gimmick beer. I would drink again.

Draught. Murky amber. Aroma is nutty, toast, peanut shells, malt. Taste is, well, peanut butter and jelly. But more than that it doesn't taste artificial. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. can that has the name spelled out rather than abbreviated (just saying this cause I was trying to find it in the RB database and couldnít). Hazy copper brown with a thin film of bubbles. Nose is pureed roasted peanuts and creamy caramel and a bit of berry. Taste is way more raspberry on the front than the aroma would indicate. The salty roasted peanuts appear later and then linger more than the raspberry, but this just emphasizes the dichotomy that should not happen in a PB&J sandwich or an eponymous beer. Light-medium body is pretty well balanced and has medium carbonation. Overall I salute the creative effort and would drink one again, but itís too heavy on the J to be my style of PB&J.

Pours opaque amber with a medium tan head...lots of sediment. Aroma is just like raspberry jelly. Flavor is like a PB and raspberry sammich that is too heavy on the raspberry jelly. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is raspberry lingering to faint PB.

Pours a clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma has light peanut butter and mild toasty malts. Flavor is nutty/peanut buttery with a bit of a salty note (peanut salty)...very peanutty/peanut buttery!...light fruity and bready maltiness...a touch of earthy hops. Mouthfeel is medium and silky and the finish is grainy/malty with lingering faint PB. Really cool...reminiscent of a PB sandwich. Really tasty!

Can to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Pours a murky amberish dark orange with off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing along with some sediment. Smells like raspberry jelly with some mild peanut butter in the background. Tastes like it smells with a slightly tart mouthfeel. A solid; interesting brew. Not something Iíd have more than one of at a time though.

Draft at RBWG grand tasting! Iím not generally a fan of gimmicky beers. The aroma had more peanut butter than jelly. The taste had more jelly than peanut butter. So there.
