hops: Summit, Chinook, Centennial

Draught. Dark amber colour with a big white head. Smell is very aromatic, with the usual hops. Taste the same, very hoppy, with also malt notes, caramel, with a nice bitterness, lasting in the mouth, but not too much bitter. An ok IPA.

At Szimpla Kavezó, thanks Gergely for pointing it out to me! Poured a misty amber-red body with an off white head. Looks lovely. Gum, sweetish malty taste, nice grainy notes and aromatics. The taste... ok, I figured that my palate was bust, but further tasting revealed it wasn’t. However, I WILL rerate it as soon as possible. Mild, creamy malty taste, carrying light notes of orange, but not as aromatic, slightly husky, dry overall. Did I get the right beer?! Again, will rerate asap.

Pleasant fruity esters in aroma. Medium, thick, off-white, very durable head with great lacing. Dark copper hazy body. Intensive bitterness in taste with good malty background.

Draught. Opal reddish amber colour, medium sized yellowish head. Smell ruled by tropical fruits. Tasteing starts with mild caramel and fruits makeing in the middle place for distinct resin, pine and herbs underpainted gently by honey, flowers and alcohol, mouthfeel is slick. Long grapefruit bomb finish escorted by herbs and warming alcohol. Complex and well made.in the regular quality.

Tap @ Csak a jó sör. Nearly clear, reddish amber color, medium sized long-life light beige head, moderate piney hoppy aroma, medium body, decent fizziness for me, hoppy bitter and slight sweet malty taste, dry resinous hoppy bitter palate with fruity notes. Well-balanced and easy-drinkable, but I would prefer a little bit more malt in the taste.

Csak a jó sör, Budapest. Kinézetre nagyon hasonlít a skót punkok klasszikusához a 5am Saint-hez, viszont annál sokkal kevésbé édeskés, jóval komlósabb, fenyősebb, kiegyensúlyozottabb, veszettül itatja magát. Utóízében sem jelentkezik az a karamellás édesség, mint az említett sörben. Egy baja van neki, nagyon alattomosan tudja elgáncsolni az embert olyan módon, hogy utána állva tud tőle aludni, méghozzá síugró pózban! Megint nagyot alkotott Armando mester!

Special edition hand-crafted bottle at home, many many thanks to the master brewer armando629 for sending some love to the low countries :-) Poured cloudy, with an amber color and a tan, lacing head. Syrupy sweet nose with fruits like apples, grapes, honey, caramel and spices, but with subtle hints of a bit citrus, hops and alcohol as well, just to balance it all out. First sip brings tons of hops, more hops, and a dry finish of more hops. Almost tarty. Lasting dry, bitter aftertaste. Certainly xmasy in the aroma, but a hardcore bitter IPA baseline. Excellent!

On tap. A bit murky reddish body with a light beige head. Huge caramel notes with toast, honey and piny, citrusy, grassy hops. Taste is like the aroma, only it has mire hop character. It’s very similar to the original Grabanc, but it has more caramel sweetness to it and also more hop flavor and bitterness. Awesome beer.

xmas version of the Grabanc, but not the typical overspiced xmas brew... beautiful reddish color, not too light, not too heavy: really refreshing!
