3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from bottle @ home. Because I read an article about the beer being an alias of another beer from Van Steenberge I didn’t want to rate it. I sent in feedback with a link to the aforementioned article expecting the beer to be aliased. Since this has not happened even though it’s been quite some time now I have decided to rate it anyway. I’ll be brief though, very brief: it’s decent.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 330 ml, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 8%.
Clear body, with very light activity in it, golden orange in colour. Two finger of white, soapy head, with average retention and even better after it collapses to ine third of its sze. Medium lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is fruity with lots of apricot, then some yeast and spices.
Taste is also very fruity with spices on the aftertaste, Basically it follows the aroma quite faithfully. High drinkability although you can tell that the maltose and the high alcohol will take their toll on your head. Good bitterness with medium to long finish.
Medium thin body, soft carbonation, bubbly.
Overall not bad at all and for a competitive price.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A - Pours a muted golden brown at the top and fades into an amber hued orange towards the bottom. Hazy with a small white head that creates a large center mound surrounded by wisps.
S - Funky tart yeast, tangy apples, apricots.
T - Spicy Belgian yeast, green apples, pears, honey, soft clove, and lemon layered with a sweet pale malt. Subtle hops provide slight bitterness towards the end. Finishes crisp and dry.
M - Moderate carbonation provides a soft silky feel.
The spices are more subdued on this but it has a nice tang to it. Good fruit flavors combined with a tasty yeast and very easy to drink.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy golden yellow with decent white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is nice bitter with little caramel. Taste is good bitter ale beer, with small sweet tones. Nice bitter aftertaste. (Velp, januari 2013)
