Draft at Arnold’s at cask tapping party on May 19, 2011. Opaque brown color, firm but pleasant malty aroma with definite licorice notes, moderate tan head, moderate to strong (but smooth) malty flavor with licorice and rock candy elements. This beer is made exclusively for Arnolds by Christain Moerlein. Wish it were more widely available--it’s the best CM beer yet, IMHO>

Drank on tap at "Arnold’s" - This is a fine porter, dark brown hued at malty, with a thick tan head of foam... serve me another, Becky!

Draft at Arnold’s. Poured hazy dark brown hue with an average creamy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Flavor was moderate toasted balanced bittersweet with an average bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew.
