Maker: The Arran Brewery, Arran Islands, Scotland; Beer: Arran Blonde (cask, at The Standing Order, Edinburgh); Style: Golden Ale; ALC.VOL.: 5.0%; Colour: Yellow golden, clear, with small off-white head; Nose: Very mild floral hop aroma, grass; Texture: Medium body, watery. Soft carbonation; Taste: Floral notes, some citrus and a bit of soap at the start, more of the same in the middle with slightly increased hop bitterness, Still very moderately bitter finish, weak hippy and floral notes in the aftertaste; Impressions: Drinkable, fairly simple golden bitter, lacking the hop bite to make it memorable.
