Delicate floral hop aroma. A subtle, well balanced finish with good character. A pale golden beer, clear tasting, in a continental style.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St ’Spoons. My god, how many times have I given those exact same numbers to English beers? Utterly standard in everyway. Pale blonde with a slight bubbly head. Malt and hops in the nose with some faint grapefruit. Malty and nutty flavour with a slight bitterness in the finish. It’s beer...

Cask by handpump at Callum’s Bar, Johnstone on 6 Jan 12 - lovely mild citrus aroma, pours deed gold with a moderate white head and moderate carbonation, taste is citrus, but well balanced, slightly oily feel, very nice.

First tasted this in the Ormidale Hotel, Brodick in July 2000. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear straw in colour with a thick foam white head. Zesty lemon in the long aroma. Refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malt base delivers a fruity lemon rind and gooseberry flavours. Floral dusty hops in the bitter aftertaste compliment the malt well. Citric notes return with lime in the finish. An excellent summer session ale and reminds me of a thick Harviestoun Schiehallion. Excellent.

On cask at the Wineport, Arran. Pours a blonde colour with a decent white head. Caramel and yeasty aromas. Flavours of caramel malt, some wheat and a nice, lingering hop finish. Quite bitter and also dry. Slightly prefer this in bottle.

Pours a nice golden colour, thin white head. Aroma is mildly bitter hops with some malt. Taste is similar, quite weak hops and some malt, watery finish. Would benefit from a bit more punch.
