From cask, A very nice golden ale with a nice and rounded hoppy moderately bitter beer. I had about 7 pints before I drove home.

In a festival dominated by darker autumn and winter bitters, this came as a pleasantly refreshing change. So much so that I went back later for a second to revive my somewhat malt-jaded palate. Although it is blonde in colour, I have seen much blonder – more a mid-gold really. The aroma is characteristically floral and hoppy, a little green round the edges. Starts sweetish and fruity on the palate, leading into a citric freshness. Develops a rather unexpected bitter finish that is not evident at the start and balances the earlier sweetness. Easy to drink and, overall, a good refreshing beer. Cask, Pigs Ear Beer Fest, East London, December 2003.

(Hand Pump) Slightly cloudy, dark straw colour. Small creamy head, soon disperses with slight lacing. Hoppy with traces of fruit in the flavour. A very smooth tasting brew and easily drunk.

Cask (handpull) at Derby Winter Beer Festival 2005. Clean and clear, quite zesty, never tried the bottle but seen it often enough so will have to give it a go.
