Bottle conditioned. Bottle came from Camra Beer Club. Poured a deep dark amber beer, a good balance of malt and hops, with a fruity finish. A superb beer.

Tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in October 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear copper red in colour with a thick open white head. Strong fruity aromas linger in the nose. Creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Mixed malt complex gives a strong juicy fruit note of redcurrants, pink grapefruit and watermelon against a maltloaf base. Hint of hop resins in the brief aftertaste but sweetness returns in the alcoholic finish. A cracking strong ale type and the best ale by far in the Arran portfolio. Highly recommended but extremely rare to find in draught - good hunting.

Bottled. Hazy deep golden, huge head. Citric nose. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Realy sweet with plenty of butter and lemon. Low bitterness. Sourness seem unintended and disturbs.

In bottle. Nice golden ale with a decent tight white head. Aroma of hay, grassy with some citrus notes. Flavour is also citrusy and a little sour which works for me! Almost barley wine sweetness. Nice body, lingering bitterness and a tart finish. I like it.

Medium white head. Hazy orange body. Fruity peachy plummy aroma with earthy barnyard notes. Dry-acidic peppery fruity barnyard taste with earthy notes. Thin body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry-acidic peppery wooden lemony aftertaste with dusty notes. Not very good, probably a light infection. (0.75l bottle from Cornelius, Edinburgh. Very tightly sealed bottle with plastic screw-top cork sealed in wax.)
