Nice ruby colour, with a light malt fruit nose, and a deep rich fruit flavour with a little hoppyness in its finish.

Tasted this at the Paisley Beer Festival in 2007. This was specially brewed to commemorate Jack Drew, a real ale stalwart who worked hard behind the PBF scene - nice way to be remembered eh. Cask, Handpump dispense. Ruby black in colour with a thin creamy buff head. Whiff of wood smoke in the pleasant aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Dark malts give a full roasted grain flavour with hints of burnt maltloaf and raisin fruit. Pleasant hop bite in the aftertaste and onto a dry woody finish. Tastes like an old ale. Good stuff.
