In bottle. Pours a red colour with a fair beige head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and cereal. Flavours are of caramel and yeast again with some chewy, fruity flavours also. Sweetness is well balanced with the fruity hop character. Some CO2 prickle but this doesn’t overpower the rounded, chewy mouthfeel. Bitter hop finish. Lovely.

[500ml bottle, Peckham’s Bruntsfield] Pours mid-brown with a thin bubbly white head. Aromas of nutty malts (although maybe the nut-component is pure suggestion). Very drinkable bitter – mellow malty flavours with a slight touch of hop. Some woodiness present as well. I prefer this to their core range of beers, for me the balance is just that bit better [17112008]
