Deep amber colour. Aroma: floral hops, grass, marmalade, biscuity malts. Taste: caramel malt, floral hops, freshly cut grass. A pleasant, modern golden ale.

Better than the Arran Dark that i have just finished but not by much. Slightly overly bitter for the malt to be noticeable.

From bottle, pos a light golden, Amber colour. Light floral aroma, moist fresh grassyness. Smooth bitter flavor, lingers appropriately for such a easy going ale.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys:
Light citrus and quite hoppy with some good floral notes and a sort of fruity, malt base backing this up.
Cloudy, golden amber colour with a thumb sized, creamy white head that slowly reduces to just under that and leaves some nice lacing.
Hoppy with some summer fruits in the mix and a fair amount of citrus thrown in too. There is some malts, a touch of bitterness and some light floral notes rounding things off.
Medium & smooth with a slightly bitterfeel and moderate carbonation.

A nice tasting pale ale, with a good mix of fruit and hops along with a nice, well balanced bitterness to it.

Pours a hazy golden red body with a nice creamy and frothy head. Quite a strong aroma; fairly hoppy. Malty, fairly heavy though tastes quite light. Good!

Aroma: Peachy and earthy.

Appearance: Hazy, light amber body with a decent white head. Medium carbonation. Lovely sticky lacing.

Taste: Earthy with light summer fruits - strawberries and peach. Initial sweetness is replaced by a gentle finish.

Palate: Light body with a slick, oily texture. Average carbonation.

Overall: Soft, tasty and moreish. A fruity bitter, and one I’ll be drinking again soon.

Tall brown 500ml bottle: best before 31 Oct 2012, poured into my Abbot Ale glass tankard early Mar 2012. Pale amber, light copper in colour, bright and clean looking. The head looked good for 20 seconds, it then started to shrink and within a minute it has retreated to a collar and wispy covering: pity. The aroma was a heady mix of yeasts and hops with a mild malty undertone. The taste leans towards hops, especially initially. The malted wheat and barley appear mid-mouthfull, preventing the hop bitterness completely taking over the flavours. Different and pleasant.

500 ml bottle. From the Scottish Real Ale Shop.
Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Fruity and floral sweetish hops and mild bitterness in enjoyable aroma. Floral hops and moderate bitterness in flavour. Nice lingering hoppiness. Some bitterness in aftertaste.
