An outstanding beer; excellent taste and hop aroma; clean finish; very good foam character

For a mexican beer this tasted pretty skunky. I wasn’t a big fan of it and I’m glad my roommate was the one who bought it instead of me.

This is a decent beet, similar to Corona and a private label for Safeway. It is good if it is really cold and like the Corona, dropped in a lime. Smooth and clean on a hot summer day, light bodied with a crisp finish.

My first one of the evening I served with a slice of lime to accompany a burrito. Was rather enjoyable in that role. However, I rated it with no lime and it fell apart. Bready, crisp and somewhat sweet aroma. Small, white head. Clear, light gold body. Basic lager flavor; not very complex. Somewhat bready and thin. Blah. At least I added a new country.

Skunky, malty aroma. Slightly tangy/citric and malty, and it was actually better than I thought that it was going to be. Finish is a little fruit-tarty, like some kind of candy. This was probably brewed with the specific intent of being spiked with a lemon. Tasted side-by-side with Cantina, and it's hard to tell the difference -- the Cantina might have been a little maltier, but they might be the same beer, too.

This is a refreshing beer that should always be drunk either at the beach or a bbq, its not a bad beer but it lacking in a few departments, its like a bastard brother of corona but less bitters, for the price its not bad but ..

Bottle out of the Beers of the World multi-pack from Cost Plus. Do all pale lagers from Central America taste the same? Gold in color with a slight bitter finish. This is what I would call a beach beer. Great on a warm summer day. I just rated Caballo and it tasted almost exaclty the same.

Had this is a side by side horizontal tasting with Cantina (another La Constancia product) to see if they are the same products and my conclusion is no, they are not. Both have the same skunked aroma, light almost clear appearance (an extra point added for the painted bottle) but the flavor is different - this one has less of a malty flavor - more corn like - Corona like. Turns metallic near the end. But the bottle would look nice sitting in a bucket of ice on a beach.

just like mexican beers. There was nothing to this. I liked the bottle. That's the only nice thing about this though.

From the beers of the world box. Do all these SABMiller Central and South American beers come from the same tanker truck and simply have different labels. As usual, light yellow, no head, and the aroma of corn. Watery mouthfeel. No flavor to speak of and a bland finish.
