3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours cloudy, dark brown with a small beige head.
Caramel, woody bourbon aroma.
Taste is a dry, caramel malt and more barrel than bourbon.....
Stronger flavor than scent.....earthy/herbal hops.
Ok, but thin on the bourbon notes.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with red hues and off-white head. Aroma of oak, vanilla, pine, very woody. Taste is med-bodied, tannin, bitter finish with good bourbon flavor throughout. Overall, pretty nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours hazy cooper-brown with a one finger tan head with decent lacing. Aroma is of caramel, sweet malts, bourbon, vanilla, butterscotch, and light fruits. Taste is similar to the aroma with the addition of some pine, citrus, and light booze. Has a medium-full body with a pretty creamy mouthfeel and a moderately bitter, semi dry, long, lingering finish. Overall, a tasty, pretty complex strong ale that is definitely mellower then the original AB.

Really good stuff if you are into strong ales. Bourbon really comes thru and the hops are very present at the back end. Another good brew by stone.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. The pour is a hazy amber color with a nice white head. The aroma is a nice subtle booziness to it, very smooth and good blend in the nose. The taste has little to no bourbon to it, and what is there is a little harsh. It almost does a disservice to the regular arrogan bastard.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Copper beer with a dark cream head. Bourbon and caramel backing aroma with PNW hops. Bourbon and grapefruit flavor with pine. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and pine linger with light caramel and light bourbon. Bourbon starts off and gives way to hops. Good balance between the two.

Enjoyed this quite a bit. Sweet bourbon aroma and taste with that base bastard poking through. Not a ton of barrel but the added vanilla is there. Nice beer. Love that it's in sixers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a transparent amber with foamy dark cream/pale beige head. Smells malty with notes of oak and a big bittersweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with a bit of caramel and a hint of vanilla. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied. Good, not great.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly hazy copper from the bottle with fluffy tan head that lasts and leaves moderate lace. Aroma of sweet bourbon vanilla and fruity yeast notes. Taste is more toward the base beer, pronounced bitterness, fruity back end, minimal vanilla notes. The barrel falls a little short on the mouth, but good stuff anyway.
