This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Canned, 0.5 l. Opal reddish brown colour, creamy stabile beige head, which laces. Fruity nose. Taste of dark fruits and grapefruit, aroma brings caramel, toast, resin, and citrusses, mouthfeel is syrupy. Lingering and warming, bittersweet, hoppy finish. Enjoyable.

Great Ale. Really nice aroma of American hops with great bitter taste. Really drinkable despite high alcohol volume. Definitely will try again.

Can, bought @Beershoppen, Kolding. Pours clear dark golden to amber with a medium, staying, creamy White head. Aroma has caramel, malty bitterness, grass, sweetness. Medium carbonation, fine dry and creamy, Flavour has okay initial sweetness, does feel a tad sugary, toasted caramel. Bitterness is heavy and kinda comes off as a tad harsh. Still good though.

Lovely dark ruby red hue, slight creamy tan membrane of foam. Aroma is deep and malty - caramel, brown sugar, cherry, plum. Taste is malty, bready, sweet to start and dry to finish. Notes of vanilla, black cherry, caramel, rye toast. Assertively bitter. There’s a mild cough-syrup impression in the finish, but beyond that, this is exceptional.

Can. Wonderful beer. This is the standard to which you should compare all ales or pale ales: if it’s better, it’s really good.

Bursztynowo czerwone. Piana drobna, obfita, bursztynowa. Aromat gorzkawy, lekko ziołowy. Dość przyjemny W smaku gorzkawe, lekko alkoholowe. Ale nie narzuca się. Gorzkawy posmak. Ciekawe, ale spodziewałem się czegoś więcej.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2016 A friendly 22 oz. brown bottle from Albertson’s joined me for this rating. ABA (which I nickname ODB) is my go-to for a cost-conscious top level ale. Great presence, just the right head for nice lacing on my tall glass stein. Really a nice nutty opening taste along with some smoke, lingers for awhile. Pine, perhaps a hint of chocolate. Complex. ABA does not slam you with a flavor jolt, just really tasty. At 7.2% ABA is elevated but does not kick your rear end. Probably my favorite right now next to some Belgians. Oh yeah.

Deep ruby color with a tan head. Strong aroma of malts, caramel, pine and hops. Complex taste of malts, oak, dried dark fruit, lacks the touch of hops, though. Full oily body, medium carbonation, medium to long finish, definitely dry, heavy bitterness. A strong ale indeed.
