This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

650ml bottle from vons. Hints of caramel, marmite, black cod. Quite a deep brown colour. A little bitter. Head falls away quickly. Cool drop.

Dark brown, tight lace. Full body, silky texture, medium flavor, scortching heat and carbonation, lingering and fruity palate. Sweet, low bitterness. Medium roast flavor. Big beer, not very original. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This ale pours a dark amber with a thin head, a great aroma of berries, almost floral. The initial taste mirrored the aroma and then the hops aggressively take over. smooth finish but bitter lingering aftertaste. This is a good ale, its very solid, and its worth trying.

Not really sure how I haven't rated this before. From the bomber into a shaker glass. Reddish amber with a tan head. Aroma is bready malt, some sweetness, and some earthy hops. Flavor is similar, bready malt base with earthy hops. Haven't had this in quite a while and it's either milder than I remember or I've got lupulin threshold shift to blame. Definite bitterness throughout, but somehow has an underlying creamy quality as well. Still a solid brew for sure, but interesting to see how tame this seems now compared to so many other beers.

A bit too agressive for my insophisticated pallet. Great color and complexity but keep drinking as to avoid that finish.

I had it on tap. It pours a dark red color with a fluffy off-white head and lacing. The aroma is hops, dried fruit, and alcohol. The taste is bitter with hops, fruit, and alcohol. It has a smooth and oily texture. It’s a very good beer to savor.

Have been seeing this for 2 years telling myself, "One day you shall have this." I am so glad I did. Very hoppy and bitter. Just the way I like it. Definately going to add the bottle to my wall of shame.

Dark mahogany color off white head. Nose of malts and hops. Flavor of huge hops and malts very aggressive as mentioned in marketing. Slightly sweet aftertaste very good and big beer.

650ml bottle. Pours a beautiful, clear, ruby red with a large, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dried fruit and citrus hops. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, dried fruit and grass with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.
