Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale claims you are not going to like this beer. I wouldn’t go that far, but it isn’t great either. Some fresh hop aroma coming from a dark pour with a thinner head. Taste is nicely balanced with strong malt and some simple hop character. There is a bit of an alcohol bite mixed with a bit of bitterness on the finish. Arrogant Bastard is not too bad for an underachiever - poor bastard. :)

Tap. Rich amber with off white head. Lacing all the way down. Lots of grain and caramel on nose. Slightly sterile. Mild orange. Medium body. Sweet on start, bitter on finish. High abv masked well. A bit think on palate. Lacks finesse, but solid nonetheless.

An old Stone classic. Pours a deep, copper with a tan head. Aromas are at first malty sweetness, some honey, floral hops, with a bit of spice and earth. Taste is mostly dominated by the heavy hopping. With a lil bitter finish and a relatively bright mouthfeel. Almost expect/hoped for a bigger richer body. American strong, hoppy brew.

I really enjoyed reading the reverse marketing they use to try and make one feel like a sissy for not liking this beer. I do like this beer, but would like to use the same method in my review. Poured into a paper Dixie cup on a bench at the Chicago Greyhound station, It looks like a Killian red Guinness, smells of urine and diesel fumes, or maybe that’s my surroundings, can’t tell. I smell adult diaper from 3 days prior but that may be the trash can I’m laying my head upon. This beer hits the 7% and you get the points for that. The design on the double deuce bottle would make an awesome tattoo, if I were 12 years old, had no imagination, and actually used the word awesome after 1986. Great job on the beer guys, but don’t try to pull the Jedi mind trick on me when marketing, it might insult me.

Nu snackar vi. Bra öl. Snygg som få. Fin färg. God eftersmak och helt klart värd priset. Även på krogen.

Deep red amber in the glass. Cream-colored head. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tasted like burnt caramel. Light on the palate. Decent.

Bottle from the Bottle Shop in Lancaster. Pours deep chestnut with a rocky tan head. Starts with a bit of sweetness with creamy caramel and pineapple. Finishes with a long lingering bitter pine finish. An amazing beer that lives up to the hype.
