This is an aggressive beer. You probably wonít like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Nice aroma with notes of hops and sweetness. Dark red almost dark brown with medium white head. Very tasty with lots of hops, alcohol and sweetness. A really nice barstard!

NIce brown pour with a medium off white head to it. Nice nutty caramely smell that is also present in the taste nice syrupy feel to it. Itís like a thick brown ale real nice.

this is an overly-hopped barley wine, bottle thanks to crosling. dry-hopped with something west coast, maybe centennial? just like the description itís aggressive with grapefruit everywhere and piney resins dominating the mouthfeel. tons of residual bitterness to counteract a lot of malt--maybe a bit too bitter to drink all that often....

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2006 poured a gorgous dark amber/red with thick creamy head. smelled hoppy and sweet with citrus, malt and fruit aromas. tasted much the same. strong bite, nice and spicey from the hops with a rich malty depth. a great ale.

growing up a (stone) throw away and having family involved in the brewing process at stone has left me a little biased but ill try, 22oz bottle, dark red with 1/4 inch yellow head, malt-alco-sweet smell, big bite leaves your tastebuds confused for a half second then you realize it just tastes like a damn good ale, hope i did ok.

A nice looking ale in the glass. Dark red almost black. Offwhite head. Vanilla aroma comes out a bit in the hops. The hop smell is to die for. Tastes a little of citrus and pine but mostly just good strong beautiful ale. My family enjoyed the bottle almost as much as I enjoyed the brew. I love this ale. Fantastic!

Poured from a bottle. Absolutely gorgeous beer. Dark red with a very thick off white head. The head reminds me of the scummy foam you see in poluted rivers, I mean that in a good way, it compliments the color perfectly. The aroma has hints of vanilla and cinnamon with a solid hop backing. Tastes of pine, plenty of hops, a little cinnamon and an underlying sweetness that wraps things up nicely. Decent mouthfeel, stays on your palate for a good long while after finishing it. Being stuck in a 6% ABV state, this is one of those beers that I always wanted to try. I was not dissapointed. Iím a sucker for packaging and this just might be the funniest description ever.
