COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an aggressive beer. You probably wonít like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2004 Re-rate: This bottle was aged about a year. The hops have mellowed a bit in the aroma and given way to more complex bready crystal malts. Good sweet caramel flavor blends well with the bitterness. Still no sign of alcohol. I think the aging has made this less "arrogant", but I enjoy it more. Original Rating: This has a fresh citrusy hop aroma with hints of caramel malt. Deep copper with a thick, lacy, cougar-colored head that coats the glass as it diminishes. Starts slightly malty and sweet, almost chocolatey, finishes sort of sticky and astringently bitter, but remains pretty well balanced. Another plus is that you really can't taste the ABV. In my opinion, they used to many bittering hops, and not enough aroma or flavor hops.

Dark ruby brown with a fairly thick head. Interesting aroma of cinnamon apples, allspice, orange pulp, ginger, and a big hop note that wasnít quite as brash as expected. Spritzy texture, which is welcome considering gravity. Lots of caramel malt depth and cider-like sweetness, drawing out nicely in a long, bittering finish. Unbalanced or not, this beer hits all of the right taste buds...Iím a big fan, and I wish it wasnít so hard for me to get. Thanks Dogbrick.

Has a dark amber color and smell of hops. Taste is of hops and finishes with hoppy bitterness. Overall this stuff is pretty good, but then again I am not worthy to drink it so Stone can go screw...

I may not be worthy, but Iíll never turn this one down. A full frontal assault will leave you wondering how this beer fit in the bottle it came out of.

If there wasnít as much that I havenít tried, I would probably head back to this more often. Think the lable is pointed to people that just donít like real beer as it isnít near as aggressive as it alludes to being. Just the hoppy side of a really great balance. Yum.

Easy to drink and not as aggressive as one would think. Toned down hops and bitterness. Ends dry and nose has some floral tones. Good if a bit thin.

This beer has a beautiful color and a nice thick head. First tasting impression was WOW hops!!! This was quickly followed by a nice fruity and caramel aftertaste. This is a really great beer.

Pours deep red with light tan head. Strong hop aroma. Great hops bite when still cold that changes to a wonderful malt/hops blend as the beer warms up. Finishes with hints of caramel and and a bit of a roasted flavor.
