This is an aggressive beer. You probably wonít like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

A GOOD looking brew, nicely marketed. I found it with a big head and all the grapefruit tones you could want. It shows better as it warms.

22oz bomber. 05.24.04 Deep mahoganey pour with minimal halo of a head. Reeks of grapefruity hops, alcohol, citrus grove. Itís hoppy. The taste is mostly hops, abusive, numbing hops. Almost totally linear like chewing on the pith of an underripe grapefruit. Maybe some raw, earthy, grassy barley at the finish. Pithy, ridiculously astringent, dry. Interesting, but not something Iíd trip my grandma for to get the last bottle on earth.

This beer is so impressive that it has a god named ABA in a Pantheon of Mantrip golf gods. Lesser beer drinkers should go have a Bud Light with their tail between their legs.

It pours a dark ruby with little head. Flavor is dominated by sweet caramel and butterscotch, with only a mild hops presence. I was expecting a hop assault, but this was smooth and pretty drinkable. Maybe Iíve just been jaded by the many super-hopped beers out there. Not really what I expected, but good nonetheless.

This was my first beer rating. Iíve had a few beers in my day, but have been stuck with the normal, everyday bar beers. My friends have talked me into expanding my adventures. This was my first. Very impressed with their choice. This beer had a flowery aroma with a stong hops presence. Full bodied, and a very impressive start.

Very faintly hazy orange brown under a small shortish lasting pale beige head. Big hoppy passionfruity malty burnt caramel sugar and estery tropical fruity aroma. Becomes even more aromatic hoppy as warms. Big smooth chewy butterscotch like body. Medium strong short malty sweet start. Softer lightly spiced dryer middle before back to strong smooth bitter hoppy finish. Went down very nicely with a quattro giusti gourmet pizza from the local pizzeria.
