This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Large can from the european factory. A hazy amber body with a thin, well-lasting layer of tan foam. Nose is mild with soft aromas of dark malts, hops and metal. Taste is very, very sweet and hides a decadently strong hoppiness that creeps up on you after the sweetness fades, but the beer still stays balanced. After a while, a strong bitterness still lingers on the tongue. Low carbonation and hefty mouth feel. A very strong beer by all counts that still stays perfectly balanced, well done!

On tap, JBM. Pours in clear dark amber body with medium white head. Aroma has dark fruits, floral, sweet caramel, raspberry notes. Taste has medium-high caramel sweetness with dark fruit character in the background, bitterness has a light gentle citrus presence, more balanced to the fruity side. Alcohol is evident. Body is full, medium-low carbonation.

Drank with Liedewij, Bram and Timon 11-8-2016 after cooking "stoofvlees". Very "direct" beer. Bitter/cinnamon, or something? Not sure. Drinkable, takes some getting used to. Very malty.

0’5l can. Cloudy dark red with a beautiful and lasting beige head. The aroma, while not too strong, is quite nice and sweet with notes of peach and caramel and a certain roastiness. The alcohol is quite noticeable, both in aroma and palate. Relatively thin texture and lively carbonation, it requires some time to drink but that makes it more enjoyable. Quite heavy bitter aftertaste with a delicious touch. There’s nothing too special about it, but it’s certainly a very well-rounded beer.

Wręcz wzorcowa, obfita, kremowa piana, bardzo trwała i z ładnym lejsingiem. Barwa herbaciano rubinowa, klarowna. Wysycenie niskie, półpełne i gładkie w odbiorze.

A dark brown beer, a head is dense, big and beige. Aroma has richness of malts, caramel, wood and some fruit cake. Taste has strong maltyness, herbs, some caramel. A bitterness is quite strong and nicely drying, but also harsh in the end. Strongly medium bodied, nicely smooth palate. Too harsh bitterness isn’t combined nicely to otherwise smooth maltyness. Nicely challenging beer, anyway.

50cl can. Forest floor and pines, but others do that better. Very bitter throughout. Dry, no sweetness whatsoever. Earthy. Okay, but not exciting.
