This is an aggressive beer. You probably wonít like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

I had it on tap. It pours a dark red color with a fluffy off-white head and lacing. The aroma is hops, dried fruit, and alcohol. The taste is bitter with hops, fruit, and alcohol. It has a smooth and oily texture. Itís a very good beer to savor.

Have been seeing this for 2 years telling myself, "One day you shall have this." I am so glad I did. Very hoppy and bitter. Just the way I like it. Definately going to add the bottle to my wall of shame.

Dark mahogany color off white head. Nose of malts and hops. Flavor of huge hops and malts very aggressive as mentioned in marketing. Slightly sweet aftertaste very good and big beer.

650ml bottle. Pours a beautiful, clear, ruby red with a large, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dried fruit and citrus hops. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, dried fruit and grass with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.

One of the highest rated beers in the world, everything Stone Brewing Company does is top notch. The aroma is somewhat of a nutty earthy smell. When poured it appears as a dark, lightly red color with a head that lasts forever seemingly, having the consistency of watery motor oil. Your taste buds will dance to the overpowering rich, smoky coffee flavor with notes of nuts, seeds and various herbs, maybe a dash of citrus. Itís an amazing brew that lives up to its hype!

Tap at Beerbistro in Toronto. Near clear ruby / mahogany / amber with good tan head and great lacing. Loooads of toast, resin, stone fruits (ripe, tropical), prunes, nuts and raisins. Probably the toastiest beer Iíve ever had. Sweet, and extremely bitter. Itís excellent, itís unlike anything Iíve had before. Grapefruit seed bitter finish. So soothing, so... kinda mellow I should say, yet so firm. Like a strong friendly manhug from someone you idolize. Itís fckn great!

Bottle. Aroma is not much - a bit surprising. May the thick foam be blocking? But the taste! Rich, richer, richest. Aroma is nutty, malty, hoppy but what else? coffee-ipaesque notes, black tea that has sat too long. Even some red fruit! Umami, cream and chocolate. Toasted bread. Complex is a cliche normally but this is the exception. This is the real full-bodied deal.

A 22 oz bomber with an enjoy by date of 9th October 2015 and poured into a snifter glass. Poured a very nice clear dark copper amber colour with a one finger tanned head with low retention but leaves spotty lacing. There were strong caramel malt aromas followed by maple syrup, toffee, almond and pineapple. Also hints of minerals and piney hops towards the finish. Taste was sweet-ish roasted caramel malts mixed with grapefruit and pine hop bitterness. The finish is a very nice long lasting bitterness. Mid to full bodied with medium carbonation and nice light alcohol warmth. Overall, I havenít had the chance to try many American Strong Ales, but this one was really good. Great balance and the lasting bitterness at the end along with the light alcohol warmth make it really enjoyable.

Pours dark amber with persistent creamy beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, bread, pine and some spices. Taste is sweet and bitter, with lingering bitterness. Medium body, sticky, alcohol well inserted. A great craft for sure.

Bottle at tasting. Copper color. Aroma of caramelised malt and pine mostly. Simple taste of caramel, malt, pine and a dry grassy finish. Nice, but really overrated.
