This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

The malt (melanoiden)flavor is quite overwhelming but is backed up by plenty of hops a great session beer

Bottled from local supermarket in Oregon. A very nice beer, drinks well, good taste and aroma. My only complaint would be that it is perhaps a little too forward with the alcohol, but not enough to spoil the experience.

While this beer is too hoppy for me to drink on every occasion it’s perfect when I’m in the mood for it.

The depth of this beer is amazing. The 1st time I tried it the taste was very much overwhelming to be honest. The 2nd time however I enjoyed it to say the least. Even the smallest sip is packed with more flavor then I could discribe. Very long aftertaste, not as bitter as I thought it to be.

This beer pours a rich amber color with a tan head that lasts throughout the pint. Great aroma from the initial malts to the hoppy floral aromas. The flavor is a great balance of malts and hops although the hops tended to have a bit of a grassy aftertaste. Excellent mouthfeel and body.

Wow, this really is spicy, a bit caramelly too. Has a long finish and lasting head.

Pours a deep red with a thick head. Taste is bittersweet with burnt, fruity notes. Commanding bitter aftertaste. As fun to drink as it is to rant about.

soy sauce, resin, maple syrup wrapped up into one earthy soil . I think the one I got was a bit skunky but still exceptionally complex. This was a renaissance faire classic with a turkey drumstick in one hand and the bastard the other hand.

Extremely dark amber red with a creamy head that doesn’t fade away. It had a distinctive hoppy malty smell. It had a powerful roasty taste and an aftertaste that lasts for quite some time. I was totally impressed by this beer.
