4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is it...my favorite beer. Stereotypical (for Stone) and delicious grapefruit flavor (isnít it perfect for citrus-growiní territory?)...this beer is an enjoyment with every sip! This flavor appears in their IPA and Pale Ale too, but is strongest with Arrogant Bastard. Love this one. Itís not just the weather I love in San Diego...itís the local brews too!

Hoppy and aggressive, but very nice. Dark with little to no head. Nice aroma. Taste of malts and caramel and a bit of pine.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Iíve heard the stories about this one. The aroma punches you right in the face yet, apologizes to you with a thick head, a beautiful light copper color, and vibrant clarity. For a strong Pale Ale its bitterness wasnít what I thought it would be, it was better! One of my new favorites.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted at the old mohawk cafe in Columbus, Ohio. Pours a deep ruby. Aroma is sweet but understated. Taste is very malty with hints of brown sugar. A very complex beer, the alcohol does hit you on the finish. Very good beer.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2008 The bottleís right, you probably wonít like it...at first. But trust me, it grows on you. The more you drink AB, the better you get to know it and the more you notice different flavours. Stoneís over-hype aside, this is undoubtedly a top beer. Just donít drink it so fast to truly enjoy the flavours.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours reddish brown with a light brown head. Skunky aroma of citrus & hops with a hint of sweat. Crisp, sparkly mouthfeel--but donít keep it in your mouth too long! Taste is first of hops, which quickly turns sour, then bitter, flat out kicking your taste buds in the ass. Case in point, Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale is proof that Americans CAN brew decent beer. Bottoms up!

fairly malty start with a wonderfully hoppy finish, this is an excellently balanced ale, and really helped me through today's fairly boring super bowl.
even the 'yellow beer drinkin wussy' i let try it liked it (and he really dug the description ;) )

I dig this beer mostly for its color. The taste is really bold. I bought a 22 oz bottle and it took me awhile to drink it. As it warmed up towards the end of the bottle, the malts came though and I got this cool coffee-like subdued flavor. I've had this beer before and I'll certainly have it again.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Smells like heavily roasted malts- with a long lasting coffee colored head. Burnt amber color throughout. The roasted flavors taste like an uppercut- and a good one at that. Lots of flavor and one to enjoy over and over.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This one is a dark burgundy color with a white head. Light aromas of hops, malts, coffee, wet grass, and pine are present. The flavor is sharp and slightly hoppy with a mellow coffee overtone and a bitter finish that will kick your ass.
