COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Dark amber with a thin white head. Oh baby are there some hops in this thing! The aroma smacks you right in the nose. Citrus predominates in the aroma. The taste has hops in the front, hops in the middle, and hops in the back, but suddenly I get just a hint of malty sweetness in the aftertaste. Certainly lives up to its labeling as an “aggressive beer.” Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and fizzy. Very long finish. Definitely will delight hop-heads, but I could’ve used a bit more balance.

This beer has a good hop flavor and after taste. It scores more points than McNabb and lasts longer than my cell battery.

On tap at Citrus Park House of Beer, Odessa, FL. Awesome color and palate. Tastes like a boilermaker but without the whiskey. The ABV makes it a risky choice as a first beer of the afternoon, but this Bastard is all about risk taking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark cherry red , slightly cloudy with a nice dense tan head. Excellent lacing and head retention. Reeks of hops, with some cereal grain style malts going on, smells sticky (toffee). Taste is big and bold hops balanced out by the candy/caramel malts, some underlying stone fruit flavors. The bitterness is unrelenting, which is fine by me!

Whatever that guy on the label is, he definitely has a right to be arrogant about this beer. Complex malts with a hint of spice and a very bitter hop finish, outstanding.

I am not one who usually likes an overhopped beer, but this bastard is just plain good! Gives a very nice first impression, but alcohol taste may be overwhelming for some wimps!

This is it...my favorite beer. Stereotypical (for Stone) and delicious grapefruit flavor (isn’t it perfect for citrus-growin’ territory?)...this beer is an enjoyment with every sip! This flavor appears in their IPA and Pale Ale too, but is strongest with Arrogant Bastard. Love this one. It’s not just the weather I love in San Diego...it’s the local brews too!

Hoppy and aggressive, but very nice. Dark with little to no head. Nice aroma. Taste of malts and caramel and a bit of pine.

Excellent beer. fairly malty start with a wonderfully hoppy finish, this is an excellently balanced ale, and really helped me through today's fairly boring super bowl. even the 'yellow beer drinkin wussy' i let try it liked it (and he really dug the description ;) )

I dig this beer mostly for its color. The taste is really bold. I bought a 22 oz bottle and it took me awhile to drink it. As it warmed up towards the end of the bottle, the malts came though and I got this cool coffee-like subdued flavor. I've had this beer before and I'll certainly have it again.
