Stck in a Holiday Inn in Flagstaff, AZ I wandered across the sreet to a gas station to buy a couple of beers. I bought this brew and what a find. This is an excellent ale! Nice dark copper color, a small head, pine scent, tremendous flavor, very enjoyable.

Bottle. Dark amber pour; 2-inch light beige head. Sweet aroma of grapefruit. Taste starts slightly sweet with grapefruit predominant, also some honey and perhaps caramel. Ends in assertive sour-bitterness and astringent alcohol, pine oil aftertaste. Full and foaming in mouth. Nice but a bit much for sipping; needs food to tone it down.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer is big hops all the way and can be overwhelming at first. It took me quite a few bottles over different occasions to finally settle in and appreciate this one. Cloudy pour with citrus and, of course, hoppy aroma. Tastes like it smells, with a long lingering hoppiness.

This beer sucks in a really really good way. I enjoyed drinking this pint of malty goodness despite its lousy attitude. I would punch this beer in the face if it weren’t so damned tasty.

Big flavor, mild to moderate bittering, the beer came to life when the temperature of the beer rose closer to room temp.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was a pleasant surprise. Quietly harboring 7.2% ABV, this one pours a beautiful deep mahogany brown, sports a head about 3/4 of an inch, and seems to hit the tongue with a rich but very subtle hint of black cherry flavor. That contrasts nicely with a slightly bitter conclusion after each gulp. This Ale is correct "I am not worthy".

I have start with a slight proviso...I had a few before trying this one and it probably...almost definately tipped me over the edge...I started dancing for crying out loud! Its a poky little number, drinks very well and I enjoyed it alot. I don’t remember and especially lively aroma and its on the belgian side of ales style wise. Hmmm, will have to try it again to be sure.
