This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

A beautiful dark brown with a creamy light tan head. Smells of carmel with just the slightest hint of fruity sweetness and grass. The taste is masterfully balanced with a delectable bittering hop finish that is well muddled with a deliciously dark caramel malt flavor. It strikes a great balance between being watery and overly thick resting at a silky smooth texture as it washes your palate. Perfect for anytime in my opinion!

Dark, caramely brown in colour with thick brownish head. Sweet, hoppy and smoky on the nose. Initially very bitter taste, followed by smokiness, then bitter sweet on the end. Also quite carbonated. Big, tasty bastard of a beer.

Very acceptable aroma and a delightful deep rusty orange amber appearance. Carbonation is perfect and this one slides down the pipes quite easily. I was very pleased with this one and found myself wondering exactly why I hadn’t had it before now....Proof my tastes are being honed and changing as well...upon researching, I found I had this one a year or so ago before I was rating here. I sure wouldn’t have given it a fair shake then so it worked out well because it’s def a brew that will be in my glass often after this tasty experience.

1pt bottle. Dark reddish brown with a beige head. The aroma is sweet caramel and syrup. The taste is heavy sweet, syrupy and medium bitter. Piny hops. Over rated and priced.

50cl can. Dark red brown color, thick head. Earthy hop aroma, toffee and dark caramel (kind of like a beefed up ESP?). More citrus and bitter hop resin in the flavor, nice maltiness. A great beer all around.

On tap @ What’s Brewing, Stavanger. Pours mahogany, with a big creamy, off white head. Aroma is hoppy notes, with resin and citrusy notes of orange peel and grapefruit, as well as roasted malts with bread and honey. Medium body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is bitter, with resin, citrusy orange peel and grapefruit, as well as malts with cereals and toffee. Lingering bitter finish. Balanced and quaffable.
