This is an aggressive beer. You probably wonít like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2012 The first time I had this beer, maybe 5-6 years ago, I was not worthy. It was the most bitter, least appetizing beer I had ever had. Fast forward to today and after trying a sip, my first thought was "caramelly, fairly sweet!" The bitterness wipes that away and it ends up a touch dry, but a great beer to sip and enjoy.

Bottle with SED and KMD. Clear ruby colour with a frothy head. Aroma is gentler than I expected, light winter berry. Flavour is even fruit hop, medium bitter.

Really? I havenít rated this? Oh well....Pours a very clear, deep mahogany color with a bubbly tan head that fades fast. Forefront on the nose I get chewy caramel maltiness with toffee aspects with underlying citrus and pine hops. Main flavor component is chewy, toffee, sweet potato bread malts then mid palate through finish is the bitter pine hops. Maybe I havenít tasted this in some time but itís coming off way more sweet than I remember.

Taste is the same earthy hops, caramel malts, light citrusy hops with a decent citrusy bite..... Very smooth and clean nice spicy hop bite that lingers into the finish ... Mouthfeel is oily ... Sessionable abv hidden well

Good. The nose is intensely hoppy in the citrus and pine range, but still maintains enough of a toast and caramel malt base to keep the beer balanced. The beer pours out a hazy orange with a disapating white foamy head. The taste is predominantly resin hops with a large contribution of ciitrus flavor in the orange range. The beer is medium to full bodied with a very long bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours golden orange brown with a thin white head and good lacing. The taste is hoppy, but mild, fairly easy drinking with a bitter finish.
