A deep, red, cloudy pour. Itís got a faint, yeasty, malty smell to it. Itís a dry, hoppy, tangy taste with a foamy head. Itís got a slightly sweet but bitter aftertaste. Itís not that different from the Ruination IPA, but not as good. Stick with Ruination.

I donít really know what all is in here. Ok. This I do know. I like it and it gets feeling feisty.

On the bottle, ďYouíre Not WorthyĒ; oh yes I am!! Gotta love a good strong ale! Assertive hops with just enough malts to smooth off the bite just a tad makes for an awesome brew to savor! The Stone line of brews continues to impress and is definitely a line-up of brews that one can come to appreciate for the long run! Can definitely tell the results of quality workmanship.

[Rated 10/10/2009] Bottle. Pours dark red with a thin head. While aroma is very soft, flavor is rough, very hoppy. Somehow it feels a little overhopped, not the kind thatís too bitter, but rather overbrewed and acidic. That is not to say that flavor is dull, just a little different. Overall I am not too impressed, given that itís made by Stone Iím willing to give it another try some day.

I think most over rate this beer because of itís name. On the other hand it lives up
to Stoneís excellent reputation

BOTTLE: Pour is ruby/amber with a tan head and decent lacing. Aroma of caramel, malt, citrus and some pine hops. Taste is caramel, grapefruit, sweet, and bitter at the same time.

The strong bitter flavor hits you hard on the first sip and it is hard to taste much else. If you keep drinking though you pick up on some more subtle tastes of virus and caramel. The taste sticks with you for quite a while.

Decent ale with amazingly thick head and strong hoppy aroma. Unfortunately the taste is too bitter for my palate. I prefer the 2012 Vertical Epic from Stone Brewery.

This was a very good beer with a lot of flavor. Nice and hoppy with a strong malt backbone that finished with a small alcohol warmth.
