This beer just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe I have something against hype, as this beer is hyped a lot, but it just tastes harsh and unpleasant to me. Sorry, guys. I do like your IPA quite well, however.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Brothers Beer Bistro (Ottawa, ON). Dark brown, hazy body with a lasting beige frothy/creamy head. Rich malty/hoppy aroma with woody, brown sugar, yeasty, ans spicy hints. Its robust, sharp hoppy taste carries malty, herbal, citrusy, and oaky notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Bang on!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at corporate brewhouse that makes me want to slit my wrists. But hey, at least they have Arrogant Bastard. Great deep copper color, bitter as hell but in the best possible way. Toasted cereal and hops. Great palate. I just wish this beer had less alcohol as I want to drink copious amounts and I fear tomorrows headache!

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Tap. Tanned medium head, layered lace. Deep ruby amber. Nice malty and hoppy aroma. Hoppy bitter with leather, broad malts, cream toffee, cranberries. Tasty, mouthwatering, yet dry palate, smooth nicely biting carbons. Long bitter aftertaste. Very complex, plenty, everything in a perfect balance of arrogance and classiness.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tasted on draught for the first time at Barley Mow (Bristol) stone Tap Takeover. Fantastic beer - goes straight into my 30 top 10 beers. superb aroma followed by good mouth. Hops are very prominent but good malt also. Great balance with strong biitter taste. Very good finish leaving hops, malt and bitterness on the palate

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap. Orangey brown beer thin lacy head. Aroma has lots of dried fruits: raisins, pineapple, wine gums and mangoish-floral-orange hops and whiffs of creamy toffy and toasted nuts. Thick malt flavor is not sweet; more like liquid white bread. Heavy, resinous and woody bitterness. Toasted almond and slight sherry notes gathering in the intense aftertaste. Hop flavor never seems to fade. Thick, slightly oily texture, full body. I’ve had bottled version a couple of times before and both are equally impressive.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is honey, roasted malts, caramel, and light tanin bitterness. Taste is sweet malts balanced very well with the hop profile. Appearance is a clear amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.
