Ungstrup (23917) - Oamaru, - MAR 6, 2011
Cask. A cloudy golden beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw as well as the faintest hint of butter, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

TheGrandMaster (2313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - APR 17, 2010
Draught at the brew pub (not on cask at all?). A slightly cloudy dark gold. Juicy malt with fruit and tangy hops. The bitterness didn’t feel like the stated 36 IBUs.

not on cask. but an ale. clear orange. not much aroma, slight hoppiness, lacking in yeast character. honeyish, thick malt and some tangy, peppery bitterness. the beers at this place are competent but tend to go for "balancing" high AA hops with lots of specialty malt - they could do with some refinement.

phaleslu (3530) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 20, 2009
Cask at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy orange-gold with no head. Gentle aroma of hops, grass, and caramel. Flavor of bitter hops, malt, citrus, grass, and caramel. Light-medium bodied. Starts very smooth and only a little bitter, but late a sharp bitter taste comes right down the middle of the palate for a sharp, bitter finish.

Beervana 2009. Beautiful orange colour. large, slightly odd character. some malt to balance it out. A little thin. Alright, but doesn’t do that much for me.

DuffMan (4418) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 22, 2009
Sampled on tap at the brewpub in Arrowtown. Medium amber colour, off-white head. Low toffee aroma. Toffee malts and medium bittering hops. A nice comfortable session ale.

nate2g (1548) - Marlborough, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 7, 2009
Draught at Arrow Brewery, Arrowtown. April 09. Tasting sample - Hazy amber with a small white head. A good malt backbone and citrusy, grassy hops, soft carbonation. A very nice bitter.

Cloudy appearance (put down to Ph levels, but a teething trouble at best), beautiful warm orange colour and soft hop aromas of grasses and grapes. Great big bitterness is the first unmissable impression, which is fantastic! Elegant maltiness spoilt only by a little lack of body. Long finishing bitterness on the back of the tongue and one of my favourites from this brewer. This was the pint I went back for seconds on.
