COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This cider is completely fermented to dryness with no back sweetening. Picket is a Civil War Portman. Picket duty constituted the most hazardous work of infantrymen in the field. Being the first to feel any major enemy movement, they were also the first liable to be killed, wounded, or captured and most likely targets of snipers.

Growler from the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow color with a small fizzy white head. A sweet light apple nose. Really dry flavor, effervescent, champagne yeast (?), some tart apple. Very good.

Poured on draft at the cider house. The aroma is more a spicy apple note. Taste is, as the name indicates, apples with a drying finish. These guys make nice cider.

Draft at Mad mex shady side. Pours apple but light with little fizz and no head. Notes of green apple and vinegar on the nose. A little dry on the tongue. Finishes clean. Hides it’s 8% very well which makes it slightly dangerous.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3947) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 29, 2012
Sampled on draft this cider poured clear like water with a faint yellowish tinge - no head and no lacing. The aroma was dry and tart cider vinegar. The flavor was very dry, tart, astringent and tasted like cider vinegar with a bit of carbonation - only a bit as this was also very lightly carbonated. Long finish. Light body. At least the tap handle was pretty.

trans gold, head dies in a second. Sweet Nose is light apple, dusty hay. Flavor is more balance and depth, apple leads to dry balance, champagne carbonation and lightness.

1L growler thanks to MrChopin. Vibrant, sparkling straw pour. Champagne nose with white wine and small sulphur. Taste is all champagne wevlactic acid and spicy white wine. Too much champagne character. Ick. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
