Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of green apples and honey. Taste is fruity sweet malt with light bitterness and a metallic finish.

Bottle from Genes. Pouts a faintly hazed deep gold with a fizzy white head that lasts. Nose is pretty innocuous, light sweetness and a grainy note. Cleaner than the other Russian ones. On tasting, it picks up that grainy sweetness and a light bitterness. Clean finish in reality overall. Crisp and dry, surprising for 7%. Still seems odd to group these with imperial pilsner. Completely different in character.

500ml bottle--pours a white head with yellow color. Aroma is light malt-slight sweetness. Taste is light malt-slight sweetness, rubbing alcohol/grain whiskey/medicinal takes over.

Bottle. Very clear golden yellow that’s not as pale as the typical strong lager; with a pure white fizzy head. Sweet grains, fruit, and honey in the aroma with some mild skunkiness. Fairly sweet, and leans toward malt liquor, but has some warming booziness that is not entirely terrible if I take this at face value for being a malt liquor. Missing some bitterness that would have been better. Medium body with tiny fizzy carbonation. I was sure this was going to be worse than it is, but it’s not the worst thing I’ve had.

Similar to its cousin Yarpivo Krepkoe, this is even more smooth-caramel-tasting, low-hop, hidden-alcohol, but it has a bizarre iced-tea flavor predominating through much of the aroma and foretaste. A bit more carbonation too. Would definitely have again, esp. in its cheap, 51-oz bottle form (Brayton)

Big 1.5 liter plastic bottle. Stuck in the freezer for over 2 hours. It smells like alcohol with some dark grains and sugar. The taste is of caramel, paper, and alcohol. Sort of watery, very alcoholic. Only drink this to get drunk, not to savor it. It beats out 40oz of bmc in that regard and it was cheaper. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-03-2011 02:07:59

80 some oz plastic bottle share with a few friends. Pours a greenish golden in color with a small pure white soapy head. The aroma is vegetal/grassy. The flavor is relatively clean, a bit of an astringent soapy aftertaste. This beer is right on par with most stronger Russian lagers I have had.

Tasted from a 500 mL bottle purchased in Aurora, Colorado. Very light pale yellow appearance. Skunky, even slightly musty lager aroma. Light pale lager flavor with a strange bit of fruity sweetness. Overall tastes like crap.

Arsenalnoye Krepkoye is a slightly hazy golden lager with a thin white head that vanishes instantly. It has a very sweet aroma like malt extract and maybe corn syrup. It’s medium bodied; dusty and gritty with a watery finish. It tastes very sweet, like malt extract in water. I can’t really taste the booze, though. This 51 oz. bottle is trouble. I knew it from the moment I saw it and it didn’t let me down. The bottle is plastic, which isn’t very effective in a brawl. I just see that as a reasonable safety precaution.

(bottle - 51 oz plastic screwtop) Copper pour with a thick white head. Sweet and fruity aroma. One of my friends said it reminded him of black cherries. Another said that it was very plummy. Sweet flavor with fruity notes. It tasted warm though, even though it’d been in the fridge for ten hours. Too sweet.
