1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 ChoppingMall (47) - Sleepy Hollow, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 14, 2011
I found this at some really weird liquor store in Wheeling, IL. First, let me tell you the most insane thing about this beer. The packaging, which caught my eye instantly. This came in a gigantic, green, PLASTIC bottle with a screw-top, not unlike a 2-liter bottle of soda. The bottle says "2 QT., 1 PINT, .5 FL OZ." That’s right. This was an enourmous, 80.5 OUNCE plastic bottle of weird Russian brew. And it was only $4. I could not resist the opprotunity to buy something so bizzarre. As for the beer, it was a musty corny lager. But man, you should see this wild bottle this shit came in. Most insane thing I’ve ever seen. Good god. Walk into a party with your 80 oz. beer and watch everyone gape at you in complete awe. I drank the whole thing and woke up the next morning feeling like Soviet guards beat the shit out of me.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Hermod (1683) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2011
2L plastic bottle. Poured golden color with a thin head. Aroma is malt and hay. Flavor is malt and caramel, sweet, but not overly sweet. Better than I had expected it to be. Not much bitterness or hops detectable.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Panzerfaust (509) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - DEC 1, 2010
As Arsenalnoye Lager in Jumbo, Santiago de Chile. Pours clear golden with an average sized white fizzy head. It decreases quickly and leaves no trace of foam.
Aroma is typically malty, rather crisp but uninteresting as expected. Notes of cereal, bread and a slight trace of vanilla.
Flavor is sweet-ish and soft. They’re trying to go the safe route here and create a highly drinkable, simple and crisp lager. No aftertaste at all, even when you eruct.
Light body, medium carbonation. Kinda watery. The finish is rather short and tasteless. Wouldn’t die to drink this but I don’t think it has many defects. It’s simply very boring.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 envane (522) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 12, 2010
From the giant plastic bottle. Light amber with a small white head. Faint apple aroma. Thin body. Taste is slightly sour and cidery. Dry finish. These ciderish Russia beers are pretty refreshing and good for the price.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JaBier (3212) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JAN 15, 2010
Sample from a gigantic plastic pop bottle at the Hopsnobbery Collective "From Russia With Suds" tasting on 1/2/10. Clear gold pour with a thin white head. Bready malt aroma with some sweet peach and honey notes. Flavor is of bread and candi sugar with some noble hops in the finish to give it some dryness. Not knocking my socks off, but way better than expected and easily one of the top three beers of this tasting that is actually from Russia.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 JuStuka (201) - Edo De Mex, MEXICO - SEP 1, 2008
Golden color, light friut and malt flavour, the palate is like many macro lagers, didn’t like his one.
