COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Regular;
Making the most of our gas fired copper which naturally creates maltier brews, this is a well rounded caramel ale with a hoppy finish, and is the standard bitter in our collection.

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Amber with white head. Good deep, malty flavours, a tad sweet but compensated for with a bittering caramel malt. Some cafe latte flavours with a milky note. Decent beer.

Cask, Leicester Fest 09. Amber brown with a bubbly head. Aromas are cocoa powder with weetabix malts. Quite spicy. Flavours are sweet weetabix with light citrus. A bit boring.

Cask, Charters, Peterborough. Squash-like headless red. Nose enticing chocolate, earth, nuts and coffee. Zero condition, but not the beer’s fault. coffee nuttiness, wisp of smoke linger, not much in the way of hops. Pretty good, if a bit tired.

Cask, Black Horse, Darwen. Dark mahogany colour with a medium off white head. Citrus hop aroma. Decent malt and hop balance in the flavour which had notes of tea. Gently lingering bitter finish. Not bad
