Slightly cloying nose with some citrus but a bit kiddies. Pours pale gold with a fluffy head. Flavour is a bit out of kilter - strong bitterness with nothing to balance it, some citrus notes but a bit too sour. Perhaps this is a hop that doesn’t lend itself to flying solo.

Cask@lychgatetavern, wolverhampton. Golden ale with small head and good lacing. Aroma is sulphurous, yuk. Taste is dry and hoppy with mild grapefruit finish. Ok just bad smell.

Hand pulled at Dean Swift, London. Golden ale with an unusual taste - slight blackcurrant and ginger hops and strongly bitter. Long finish, very dry - yes, overwhelmingly bitter - not to be drunk just before another beer. Musty sweet aroma. Still, not the most pleasant thing I’ve tasted.
