COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Our speciality beer, this is a vanilla golden ale that balances out strong sweet vanilla flavours with some equally fragrant and punchy hops. A strong flavoured beer and one that is definitely a talking point. Not for the cautious but great for the more adventurous drinkers among us.

Bottle. Golden color with white head. Aroma of caramel and a bit of vanilla. Very light body. A light creamy vanilla sweetness gives way to medium bitterness. Vanilla flavor is a bit odd, although not overpowering, but the long bitter finish rescues it.

Euston Tap. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is crisp but very dry. Taste is light citrus. Whisper of sulphur. Lots of dry vanilla. Finishes minerally dry. Hats off for trying something different but unfortunately the end result is a mess.

Cask conditioned at Moreton in Marsh Beer Fest ’11. Cloudy gold with no head. Heavy, smooth vanilla flavour, like a creme brulee, shame there was no head to break through. Suddenly it reverts to quite a bitter note, quite strange really.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2010 Had On Tap At The Royal Oak, Fantastic session beer. Light smooth and with just enough hops and a sweet back. Fresh and citrus filled. Could drink this beer all night

Cask, in the CASK Pub & Kitchen on 13th June 2010. Gold with vanishing white head. Strong sweet vanilla aroma burst; touch of spice then a rich grassy hop finish. Zingy mouthfeel. An acquired taste, but I appreciated how well the beer was crafted, and this fact drove the rating higher.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 30/03/10. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Sweet, vanilla ice cream float up front, subsiding a bit to give a touch of bitterness in the finish. Seemed more subdued vanilla wise than reputation would suggest, but still not a beer I would rush to try again. Ok.
