Cask at the Old Fountain, London on 23rd March 2011. Straw coloured body and thin ring of white foam giving no lacing. Rich strong lemony liquid and aroma. Notes of lemon-tea, honey and spice. Invigorating mouthfeel with peppery sensation before a citric end. Refreshing, not tasting like a beer at all, but a fascinating novelty.

Straw gold with almost no head. Initially seems sweet and lemony, then goes dry and lemony. Some malt on the nose. Bit lacking in condition. Reminds me of a very dry shandy.

Cask, gravity, at the Pig ’n’ Falcon, St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Pale gold. Lemon aroma. Lemon taste. A bit like sherbert lemon sweets. With some soap. Others were chugging it happily on a hot day and prasing its refreshing qualities. More fool them.

On tap, pours clear golden yellow. Aroma and flavour of almost strictly lemon. Not enjoyable.

Cask (handpump) at the Market Porter on 26 February 2011. Pale straw colour. Good lively condition. Heavy lemon aroma. Massive perfumed lemon flavour. Could stop thinking of household cleaner. Wasn’t sure whether to drink it or use it to wash the dishes. Well over the top in the lemon department. To say it was one-dimensional would be an understatement. Not my thing at all.

Cask handpull at Market Porter Borough. Very pale gold thin white head. Its like lemon washing up liquid. More or less horrible.
