Cask gravity at Reading BF 2011. Clear orange gold with lasting bubbly off white head. Smells of oranges. Real zest orange. Wow how have they done that? It tastes of oranges too. Definitely different. Not sure I want all my beers to taste like this. it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Huge orange... peel and juice. It gives you what it says, but leaves me feeling I am drinking orange crush...missed the mark.

Cask at Reading Beer Festival 2012. Pours light amber colour with a thin white head, the aroma is all orange, the taste again is all orange with a sweet finish. A good beer but perhaps to much orange for me.

Cask at Bree Louise. Very orange coloured, cloudy, no head. Looks like a scrumpy. Aroma is orange and stink, bit of lemon and wheat too. Taste is sweet and orangey. Lots of orange juice from concentrate taste, but almost as if it hadn’t been diluted enough. More citrus sour than bitter. Very flat, and quite full on.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. A very dry, lightly tart golden beer. Thick in gob. Hard to assess. Pretty reasonable. Slight orange, but not pronounced. Some juiciness.

Cask (gravity) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.

Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, mandarin, mandarin juice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, orange - mandarin, orange peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110427]

Cask at CBC, London. Pour clear, orange-hold with a white head. Citrus aroma, some dough. Medium sweet flavor, lots of orange and ginger. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly bitter finish, some lingering citrus rind, some orange, light ginger. Not bad.

downender (4380) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2011
Cask-conditioned at the Three tuns, Bristol 30/6/2011. Clear amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of citrus fruit with some floral hops and slightly sweet malts. Flavour was driven by tangerines - as mentioned by earlier raters not in a hoppy way, but pure fruit juice, with a dryish finish. An oddity, but drinkable.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival on 27 April 2011. Gingery amber colour. Loose white head. Very strong orange aroma. Firm fruity flavour with (surprise, surprise) more orange. I know that some hop varieties impart an orangey character but this was more like a lot of real oranges had been included in the brew. Perhaps a bit OTT, even one-dimensional, but very tasty.
