Tap @ ZBF 2013. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, staying, creamy off-white head. Aroma has chocolate, raisins, vinious, plums. Low carbonation, nice creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour has chocolate, caramel, light coffee, raisins, nougat. Quite sweet, rather bitter. Warming finish.

Cloudy rusty red brown beer, big aery beige head, pretty stable. Aroma: lots of caramel, raisins, dried fruits, gingerbread, caramelized nuts, liquorish, bread yeast. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: caramel, mocha, liquorish, dried fruits, some overripe fruits, bit earthy. Aftertaste: spices (liquorish), dried fruits, bit sweet. Quite enjoyable!

33cl 10.75%ABV bottle, split with sebletitje, pours with an amber body containing copper edges and supporting a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up tasty sort of caramel notes, sweet malts, a dash of chocolate malts and then a firm booze hit at the end of the draw. The taste is rich with booze infused brown sugar, sweet thick malts, and then more booze. To midway a pleasing chocolate and caramel mixture surfaces and helps take this gently into the finish. This is a nice sipper that leaves behind a lingering after taste of chocolate and what ends up seeming like barrel booze like notes. Cool brew.

33cl bottle split with Ibrew2or3., BB 12/2015.

Not too sure about the style here, please change if any other thoughts. It’s surely a brown ale, but definitively Belgium style, not exactly a dubbel either, so the more general term Belgium Strong Ale is the closest I get. Brown in colour as already mentioned, quite unclear with a rather small beige head. Aroma has sweet malt, candy sugar, spices and Belgium yeast. Flavour is sweet and spicy with candy sugar and yeast. Fine and balanced body, sweet in aftertaste, still a bit too much yeast here. Rather balanced and alcohol is dangerously well hidden. Smooth and yeasty.
