AMber, offwhite head. Spicy aroma with notes of nuts and chcolate. Spices in flavor too nutty and hoppy notes. Somewhat unpleasant carbonation.

Bottle, 7.5%. Citric aroma, not too pleasant, slightly raggy. Cloudy dark orange colour, sparkling. Good bready flavour with a little rough bitterness and slightly sweet fruitiness.

Amber color, nice head. Malty aroma. The taste is quite malty, a bit spicy, very bitter. Not bad…

A hazy orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet dusty - I believe Goldings hops has been used. The flavor is sweet dusty hoppy, leading to a dry end.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Orangey golden almost amber coloured beer. Slightly hazy. Beautiful, thick head. Very, very spicy and sophisticated beer. Quite dry and actually remarkably sour. There is a bit of sweetness but it’s well hidden. Very carbonated, very fresh. 181202

Bottled. An amber brown coloured beer with a biggish dirty white head and reasonable lacing. Aroma has some allspice, strawberry and sugars. The taste is a bit disappointing and vegetal. There is some candy sugar too. The mouthfeel is far too thin. Not great.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Guess the colour! Pristine ricky white head. Typical Belgian ale smell (see Leffe, Grimbergen etc). Carrotty malt beer, brown sugar mixed intermittently with metal. Pretty easy drinking for the strength, but lacking any real depth or engagement. Not really blended, powerful or distinctive. A bit of a mushy muddle.

Amber in colour as the name suggests with a bubbly off-white head. Aromas are yeast and spices with some fruitiness. Flavours are bready yeast, soft malts and green pine hops. Pretty good.
