A traditionally brewed, dark and creamy mild. Its low gravity and low hop rate give a slightly sweeter character.

Cask @ GBBF 2011. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty spicy caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some bready hints. Has a roasted malty caramel finish.

Cask, one-third pint ordered at the Lister bar, GBBF’11. Coal black body. Fragile patches at the surface. Aroma of earthy malts. Flavoured with dark sweet malts and bread along with hints of dried fruits. Notes of salt, too. Creamy in the mouth. OK (London, 04.08.2011).

Clear medium red btown colour with a small to average, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, caramel, sewer - drain notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, cheap malt, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110802]
