Cask at the Carousel Lounge, Hythe, Kent. Slightly hazy orange-amber colour with a cream head; spicy hop aroma with some fruit; taste is quite mineral at first, developing an apricot fruitiness but with a flinty edge; clean citrus finish. Overall the rather strange mineral tones seem to dominate and give this beer a rather sour edge.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A dark copper coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is malty with notes of crackers. A crunchy crackeer like maltiness to the taste. Really easy to drink and very sessionable. Tasty stuff.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Orange gold with a small white head. Sweet fruity aroma and malty taste with a little late bitterness. Fair enough.

cask @ Wetherspoon’s Penderels Oak, Holborn - Burnt golden colour, frothy head, cream and citrus notes, light body - no carbonation, lemon, grapefruit and apple, refreshing if not remarkable. Unexpected matly taste.

Cask gravity at Bowl Inn, Charing. Copper with thin beige head. Delicate roasted caramel and earthy hop aroma. Very tasty session bitter. Good earthy bitterness on finish, quite citrusy, but good malt balance. Terrific session bitter from one of the better English breweries.
