Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Copper with white head. Slightly tart fruity but flat beer, some maltiness, a little boiled veg but with a leafy hoppy note. It’s ok.

Deep amber color on cask. Taste is mild with slight hops and decent body. Biscuits, carmel and bread. Decent

On cask at Cloisters. An amber ale with a lacy beige head. Aroma is a little smoky with caramel, chocolate and Arnott’s milk arrowroot biscuits. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Long caramel and hay like linger. I quite enjoyed this, especially the milk arrowroot biscuit nose which was a first for me.

Drinkable session bitter that’s quite light in taste, with neither hops nor malt standing out. Fine, but a bit boring.

15th August 2008. Clear dark amber beer. Soft and dry - loads of soft generic fruits and grapefruit. Not a lot of bitterness, Juicy fruit!

Cask @ Ayrshire Real Ale Festival 09. Amber colour, caramel off-white head. Aroma of skunked malts, caramel. Flavour of caramel malts, also a bit skunked. Fairly bitter finish. Not good.

Cask at the Carousel Lounge, Hythe, Kent. Slightly hazy orange-amber colour with a cream head; spicy hop aroma with some fruit; taste is quite mineral at first, developing an apricot fruitiness but with a flinty edge; clean citrus finish. Overall the rather strange mineral tones seem to dominate and give this beer a rather sour edge.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A dark copper coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is malty with notes of crackers. A crunchy crackeer like maltiness to the taste. Really easy to drink and very sessionable. Tasty stuff.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Orange gold with a small white head. Sweet fruity aroma and malty taste with a little late bitterness. Fair enough.
