On cask at Cloisters. An amber ale with a lacy beige head. Aroma is a little smoky with caramel, chocolate and Arnott’s milk arrowroot biscuits. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Long caramel and hay like linger. I quite enjoyed this, especially the milk arrowroot biscuit nose which was a first for me.

Drinkable session bitter that’s quite light in taste, with neither hops nor malt standing out. Fine, but a bit boring.

Cask at the Carousel Lounge, Hythe, Kent. Slightly hazy orange-amber colour with a cream head; spicy hop aroma with some fruit; taste is quite mineral at first, developing an apricot fruitiness but with a flinty edge; clean citrus finish. Overall the rather strange mineral tones seem to dominate and give this beer a rather sour edge.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A dark copper coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is malty with notes of crackers. A crunchy crackeer like maltiness to the taste. Really easy to drink and very sessionable. Tasty stuff.
