Cask conditioned. Fruity hop aroma of pineapples, mango and lime. Sweet with very mild bitterness. Not the winter warmer I expected, more of a sweet summery ale.

I was expecting a dark winter brew but, in fact, this is a light amber coloured bitter with a pronounced aromatic hop hit (Cascade?). Not much on the nose (again, JDW, served too cold?) but a distinct grassy cat's pee hoppiness on the palate. However, it seems a little short of bittering hops and the finish is somewhat short and flat. Handpump, Lord Moon of the Mall, Whitehall, London SW1.

JDW, Rochester. Served so cold I made a formal complaint. Manager said he couldn't adjust the temperature because the lines went through the same cooler as the lager! Anyway, as far as I could make out when the beer warmed up, this is an average bitter with a mix of earthy and citric hops. Copper tinged amber colour. Dryish. Pleasant.
