Cask; Seasonal - April and May. Has appeared at other times of year.

Challenger hops give a good bitter flavour and hoppy aroma to the golden, light, refreshing beer.

Quite a quaffable bitter. Had very tiny head and very low on the carbonation. Tastes of pale malts, citrus, nuts. A nice juicy fruit mouth feel, with quite subdued bitterness. Taster sweeter if I do say so myself.

First tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley in July 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Cloudy straw in colour with a thin white head. Thin hop aroma which is short lived. Thin and watery mouthfeel. Poor lacing. Pale malt base with grapefuit and lemon tang. Dry hop resins and flaked maize in the dusty aftertaste. Finish is dry and bitter. A poor bitter which lacks complexity and depth.

[3224-20100801] Cask. Mild stonework and grains aroma. Clear, light orange body with a quick foamy white head. Grainy malt flavour has a lingering funky sweat malt aftertaste with grains. Medium body. Weird, fresh though.

Cask conditioned handpump Victory Brighton. A copper coloured beer with a small off-white ring of head. The aroma has burnt toast which follows through to the mouth. Very malty and very dry. Interesting and pretty nice.
