Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Sep 30, 2008 A Sim rate (gravicask at the Hop Farm Fest): Chocolately, malty, caramel and liquorice aroma. Such a dead appearance with just a bit of ambery brown. Flavour not as good as the aroma. Bitter on the tongue but still caramel. Decent enough though. renffisch (456), london, Greater London, England Sep 23, 2008 sweet treacle and malt aroma. caramel coloured little head. Sweet smooth flavour, hefty hops little chocolate. decent stuff. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 21, 2008 Cask gravity at SIBA BF, Paddock Wood. No real condition, mahogany in colour. Strong mild Fin (2357), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Aug 25, 2008 Bottle picked up at Vale Brewery shop, Brill, Bucks. Had this in field at Towersey Festival, Oxon, w/e 20th-25th August 08 Pours dark brown with plenty of chocolate on the nose, quite malty and a little sweet at times with big push of molassess, still I rather enjoyed this beer. Ethereal (927), London, Greater London, England Jun 15, 2008 Cask at The White Horse, Maplehurst, 12th April 2008. Dark brown with a smoky blackcurrant aroma. The roasted malt taste is nicely balanced by a dark chocolate bitterness. Quite thin palate but clings to the mouth nicely. Decent stuff.
