Cask - The Bell Hotel (JDW), Norwich. A chestnut brown beer with a small though lasting off-white head. Good biscuity, English hop character all over. Bit of mid fruit in there on the tongue. An easy drinking, no thrills bitter. Light to medium body, highly quaffable with a medum length EKG finish.

Cask, William Wygston, Wigston. Amber with a firm cream head. Aromas are toffee, caramel and chocolate malts with some nuttiness. Nettle with earthy hops and Autumn fruit. Flavours are initially sweet and malty, followed by prickly, dry hops. Peppery on the palate with an earthy, bitter finish. A good traditional bitter.

Cask. The High Cross (JDW), Leicester. Thin white head, brown body. Hoppy, peppery, biscuit. Bitter with a dry finish.

Cask at The Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, red-gold pour with a whisper of a film. Toasty biscuit, sugary malt nose. Medium sweet flavor, lots of grainy, toasty biscuits, tons of toffee (but not too sweet) with some herbal bitters. Medium in body with soft carbonation. Well toasted biscuits and hearty bread to finish, sweet enough with just hints of hops. Good beer, condition could be better.

Cask handpull at Penderels Oak JDW HOLBORN. Very biscuit full malty bitter. Some sour fruit on aroma leads to a rich full biscuit mouthfrel and then more sour hedgerow fruit on tangy finish. A well constructed best bitter. Decent beer
