COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Name and badging changed from ASB (which actually stood for Arundel Special Bitter anyway) in July 2011.
NOTE: Also available filtered & pasteurised in bottle, which has a separate entry, and is still labelled as ASB.
A special bitter with a complex roast malt flavour leading to a fruity, hoppy, bitter-sweet finish.

Cask at GBBF 2010. An amber beer with no head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits where a light note of caramel mixes in. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a lightly hoppy and bitter finish.

Cask conditioned handpump St James Tavern Brighton. A brown beer with a white head and lacing. A fruity biscuity beer in the mouth which is very palateable. Berry fruits in the nose. A very easy drinking well balanced beer.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light roasted, moderate hoppy, light orange - citrus, light licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100804]

Cask@GBBF2010. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is chocolate, fudge, some mild fruits, wood and sweet malts. Flavour is very similar with some rather strong syrupy notes as well.

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 18/02/10. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. A balanced, malty bitter, with some sweet bready malts, fruit and a decent bitter finish. Ok.
