3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Mungo (2472) - Southampton, - JUL 30, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2007 Jan 07 BCA (from Southwick Brewhouse, BB Oct 07). Considerably better this time round. Fresh piney hops with citrussy edge and underlying dustiness. There is also a healthy amount of malt in here with toffee and toastiness. The flavours are really well done but slightly unusually I seemed to only get either hops or malt in a mouthfull not both together. Without this integration of flavours its a fairly tasty but not great beer. 3.2
Jul 05 Cask conditioned @ South Western Arms Soton. Malty bitter with some stewed hops becoming apparent. Thin body. An unimpressive malty bitter. 2.7
