DruncanVeasey (5136) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, - AUG 31, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2011 1) The Baron, Knickersby. Still gold, tight white collar. Aroma sack cloth, orange, sesame and musty hop. Syrupy and lacy, low to no carb, pleasantly oily, ornate even. Earthy dank sesame character paired with orange cordial, tea with digestives, peanut butter linger. Distinctive and untypical GA with more yeast and malt bollocks than most. 2) The Benjamin Satchwell, Leamington, 17/07/11. Chunky red gold, diminishing white top. Slightly vegetal grassy orange aroma with toilet rug and heady orange liqueur hints. Dry raspy malt behind heady Cointreau streaks, bulbous orange peel hop, dab of sick, dryout finish: some hops on teeth, oak, bilious citrus. Hooky-type body and orange, thistle, vomit. Not really selling it but its pretty good. 637313.

Simple malty aroma. Pork scratchings in teh body. Super mellow nutty malty body. Succulent body, decent carbonation. Simple, but very tasty.

tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 30, 2011
Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in August 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear mid amber in colour with a thin white head. Aromatic aroma of Mediterranean herbs. Thin mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malts give a strong trpoical fruit note of lychees, kiwi, honeydew melon with a spicy hint of coriander. Spicy hops present in the very weak bitter aftertaste. Sweet syrupy fruit salad notes in the finish. An excellent summer session ale.
